I filled out form about 6 months ago, did you receive an acknowledgement as I have heard nothing. Is no communication the norm or do you know of a register I can check.
Registration acknowledgements are slowly appearing in people's mailboxes.
Never even heard of the term "plant protection products" and then surprised that herbicides are classified as one of them. Don't think I'll worry too much about "registering".......... another rather pointless bit of paperwork to create a few jobs for people I guess!!
This has been a legal requirement since June.
If you are a PPP user then this is just the beginning for improved regulation of the industry with the National Action Plan expected soon.
The UK Lawn Care Association have been fantastic along with the Amenity Forum in keeping us up to speed - supporting our industry with regulation being the much preferred route rather than the banning of products.
Increased professionalism is vital for the retention of products and will also help to weed out the cowboys without licences and up to date practices.
This has been in the works pre-Brexit....its designed to understand actually how many actual users there are out there and monitor how PPP's are stored and managed. We registered last year and had a visit, in person, by HSE in December. Hopefully it weeds out the cowboys and 'car boot sales' of pesticides going on....
Wtf I just looked at the form, in Excel format. I gave up before I started as it's all jumble to me!
