How on earth this guy runs a succesful business is beyond me. He even does turfing, where does he put the rotavator? Or does he just tow it round?
There's a guy by us who does the same. He must use the customers mowers but got all his hand tools in a similar thing to this - he uses a wolf system with the pole sort of stuck behind his back!
Another one rides his bike and he's got this hover mower sort of strapped onto the back of it - how he balances I don't know.
Pretty hilly in parts of Wolverhampton too. You should have seen the guy with the mower trying to get up this big hill :)

Question : How does he cut a 1000Sqm lawn quickly, a) without walking 2 miles and b) without been undercut by the most expensive company in the area? I dont understand how you can be cheap at even stupid pricing without the right equiptment?
haha its like a dating site ad ! no vehicle to run will save him £3500 a year !! no trailer or serious tools either.
got to start somewhere i guess... we all did.
Wow, having looked at his website the cycling gardener is fast becoming a hero. He cycles to and from his jobs with the equipment and does landscaping jobs, wildlife friendly gardens and his ethos is eco-friendly plus a really good website. Hope he does check out this website. I'm knackered gardening every day and driving, I guess it saves on fuel costs, has he converted his mowers to gas?
If you Google cycling gardener there are a few around. Not a bad idea if you have local customers and they are willing to dispose of the waste on site.
hello from the biking gardener so many questions with so many answers . this is what i use it also comes with a mower attachment so when it is in the trailer it is around a meter and a half in lengh http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/items/__expand+it+attachments_W0QQ_dmdZ2?...*F%3F&GUID=0caf724d1320a47a24332ec3ffd0a073&agid=1851451597&tm_kw=expand+it+attachments&siteid=3&MT_ID=10&tt_encode=raw&keyword=expand+it+attachments&geo_id=21&ff4=228459_228459
Woo hoo, he's here!
regards to materials they can always be deliverd. the reason why i run the business using a bike was firstly to have a usp it makes people stop and look rather then skimming down a page with loads of companys offering the same thing. the aim is to in the future drive an electric van and go around still being enviromentally friendly. regards to working in gardening for 6 years 4 of those was working for a landscape company and as for qualifications i have just finnished my horticulture level 2 and will do level 3 in 2012 because this year i want to porpergate and self learn like i did before i did the course. if you have any question please ask also no van means i have more income and hardly no outgoings
