    That's not bad.  I guess you use a regular supplier and get through a lot in a year.

    I bought three bags today at €3/bag incuding VAT (about £2.54).  A lot of building materials are cheap here but not decorative stuff or timber.

    strange how wickes have differing prices, i use wickes in andover and price today was 5 bags for £17.40p, my other supplier is £3 + vat per bag

    We pay £2.80 a bag, negotiated with Travis Perkins locally. However we do buy a LOT of cement. I don't think they make any money on this but they do it to keep us happy!

    I've always understood it that cement is often a loss leader for builders' merchants.
