Cat and Fox faeces

Hi all,A few of the gardens I maintain are covered in either cat or fox faeces in the flower beds or lawn areas, has anyone got any ways of stopping the pesky things doing their business everywhere ?, I check and clear any poop before mowing, however always end up with some on my rollers, in the van, .......Phew !!!

  • I've heard that human urine around boundaries keeps foxes away ?

  • I had a urban fox leaving me unwelcome and unpleasant presents on my door step, and I live in a first floor flat. after about the third day I thought it was best to disinfect the step and used Jeyes fluid. Foxy never returned. I have since placed rags soaked in Jeyes fluid in other gardens, seems to work with cats and foxes but not on rats. I am not suggesting they are being poisoned but that they simply don't like the smell and take their business elsewhere.
  • Hi Jaqueline

That makes sense, the smell of Jeyes fluid would drive anyone away !
  • I was under the impression that raisins caused renal failure in cainines?
Point taken though on the poisoning... no control is not a good idea.

In urban areas what are typical costs for fox removal? I have a couple of customers who have problems with them, especially with trying to get at cat food in a conservatory (customer wont feed the cat anywhere else...).
