It's about 100mm (4") long by 50mm (2") wide.
What is not totally apparent is that there are a series of holes along the curved edge. You can see one hole but the others are filled with mud/rust.
Is that a loop of metal? At first glance it looks a bit like a digging hoe...

Found in my neighbour's field (but I've found them in our own fields as well as our woodland). I reckon I have at least 20 of them.
I was stumped what they were and their use and was going to throw them out until my neighbour told me what they were for.
A little clue: they come left and right handed.
