WGS, no contest. You can't buy history and operating as sister companies they can bounce off each other using a "group" name.
Thanks, I like the idea of keeping it under the "westend" group, my wife does like this also, but also liked the new start new name process of her maintenance business.
Hence a small poll and she go with LJN members outcome.
What about something completely new? Incorporate the area into the business name, e.g. Somerset Garden Services etc. It's not the most creative, but if she wants to drive website traffic and increase enquiries it's a good way to go.
I would go with WGS personally. Like briggsandscrapem said you can't buy history.
You could effectively end up with twice the coverage if you are operating with separate marketing/advertising and vehicles. People will see the vehicles and advertising and in all likelihood assume the companies are linked.
I really like the name 'Green and Tidy', especially as it's being run by a lady owner. Reckon that name would appeal to many maintenance customers, certainly female, whereas WGS might not.
Lots of ways to build in crossover advertising for the two sister companies, and a demarcation of who does what exactly would send out a clear message.
Westend Landscaping lives on of course, and still making history.
I did mention however if she wants her green and tidy name as people have mention use it in advertising,
ie for a green and tidy garden use WGS or something like that.
But thanks for everyone's help in our debate.
