i take it thats 50 quid a day for the van not 50 jobs a day lol
I don't know how you make
money doing that to be honest.
By the time you add fuel and machines to it there can't be much left.
I lease and its about £80 a week for my navara. But that cost is spread over 5,6 or even 7 days.
Waste needs charging for.
Have you thought about buying a cheap oldish can to start you off?
As for how much to charge is split the costs between the clients you have for the van.
As for waste you need to cover what it costs you to dispose of the waste not forgetting the time it takes
yes an older van good obviously as bob is based in central london the lez means not too old due to massive daily charge on emissions otherwise, obviously there are other on going overheads with own vehicle as opposed to renting one maybe 30 weekends a year if the work is seasonal, and parking can be a shocker
I'm a bit thick in that respect London is a big horrid place if you ask me.
I think it's a marmite thing.
But does make a difference to how you have to go about things I'm sure.
It's funny as I have just been asked to price 2 jobs in central Lincoln with no parking I'm going to price them high as I'm not sure I want the hassle
Just a footnote, as you're working in London obviously be watching the Congestion charge and ensure it's costed in along with parking.
If you buy an old van make sure it's compliant with the current LEZ - Low Emission Zone in London (if diesel, normally at least a Euro IV) and be aware of the changes due in 2019/2020 which require a Euro VI engine(?).
There's many van leasing options with the cost being configurable depending on many variables if you buy new (see other LJN threads).
Waste removal - you need to think it through and decide how you are going to approach this, what your options are (to dispose of) and then you'll know the charges that you will need to cater for.
Everything you provide (services or goods) and everything you remove will need to be charged for and finally you'll need a Waste Carriers License in that case.
