Hi Paul, I think topbuxus do something additional for blight.
I would have thought something simple like regular seaweed feeds will serve you well.
Fortunately up here in the Chilterns we seem to be avoiding the caterpillars.
Top buxus and soluble miracle grow I've used as a foliage feed with their hose gun, it worked for me.
Top Buxus Health Mix or Grow both good and Xentari for caterpiller if you have that situ vaguely under control -- funnily enough i think Xentari is not licensed for use as a retail pesticide even though it appears to be the most recomended one of amatuer use ? -- Seaweed apllications very good also
Hi Paul, Decis is an insecticide so no good for box blight and no good on the caterpillars - feeding will help strengthen the plant to withstand fungal or insect attack but you need to identify the cause or happy to help if you can send us some photos to ID ? We have a few pesticide curative and protective solutions for both attacks, but a good feed anyway won't hurt to replenish some soil nutrients after the rain has washed a lot out... slow release nitrogen & trace elements in Osmocote Pre-Plant is good HERE
Hi Paul,
Unfortunately it's a battle your not going to win, in my experience anyway My advice is to start planning long term and gradually reduce your box hedging quotas in your gardens. Not easy I know but it's more practical in the long run. There are recent threads on here regarding alternatives..
Best of luck
Paul
Topbuxus I think it's called ! Tablets dissolve in water and you spray on the leaves
I think there needs to be a postive identification of the yellowing - either through nutritional deficiency or box blight - either way the box is saveable and there are products to revive and save it -
