As far as im aware, blogs if done correctly can positively influence your google search ranking ? you would have to do it everyday maybe once a week ?

I've found some research that I thought you may find interesting from an online marketing company. Basically they say blogging is certainly a good idea for any sized business. The research was based on small - medium sized business -795 that blogged and 736 didn't.
The data that came through was that companies that blogged had have far better marketing results. Specifically, the average company that blogs has:
55% more visitors
97% more inbound links
434% more indexed pages
But the real key is that whilst blogging helps - it still needs to be relevant & interesting to your customers.

There is a handy feature in joomla that you can set to publish/un-publish posts at certain dates of your choosing.
You can write the posts now, choose a date when they are published and forget about it and concentrate on making money in peak season knowing they will be published at the appropriate time.
