  For cleaning a lot of the pressure wash guys use hypo (sodium hypochlorite) bleach basically keeping the weeds away is a bit more problematic but if you use a good quality sealer after you clean and resand. There's one called resiblock its pricey though.

  Among the best moss and weed killers for block paving, vinegar stands out. Vinegar is readily available, cheap and also a potent weed killer for block paving drives. Vinegar which contains acetic acids has the same modus operandi as salt. It dries out weed on contact. You can choose between using pickling vinegar, which has a 7% concentration, or you can use vinegar with a concentration of about 10-15% for a more devastating weed-killing effect. To achieve this concentration, you must dilute horticulture vinegar with the appropriate amount of water. And the vinegar should be applied directly to the leaves of the target weeds.

  If you are looking for a pressure washer which sucks up the muck, rather than just spreading it everywhere with a wand, the Karcher attachment I use works well. Kinder to any grout too.

  We maintain many 1,000's of sq m of block paving car parks, which is well trafficked (not so this year) Never gets a clean, but I keep weeds down with monthly wallks with Roundup and occasional moss-kill in shady areas withh MMC
