Birds nesting

Seen a few birds building nests, a pair of blackbirds in some ivy and coal tits taking lining from a hanging basket.  Hope others on here try to bear in mind the importance of trying to avoid disturbing birds during the nesting season.  I do find that most of my customers are aware and most are casual birdwatchers anyway which helps.

    It is becoming tough with the mild winters. Birds nesting in late March, though to September, with youngsters, in my garden last year...

    When do you cut hedges, bearing in mind customer demands, and the fact that you have to spread work throughout the season?
