I have decided to sell some equipment but am not sure of the best way to do it. I don't want to have to post or send by courier so local collection is essential. Ebay is the first way that comes to mind but i would rather avoid that if possible. Is it ok to advertise things on here?

Some of the tools were bought through the business and others were not. The private items are easy as i would direct the funds straight to my personal account. But funds of sale for the ones bought through the business would surely have to go into my business account? I assume this will have an effect on the capital allowances i can claim for the year they are sold in? I have an accountant by the way.

Here is a list of what i am offloading

Stihl HS81R hedgetrimmer, Stihl BG86 blower, Husqvarna 575xp chain saw, belle minimix 150, erbauer demolition hammer, Makita petrol cut off saw, Clarke mig welder 151TE turbo, Karcher 200 pressure washer (little un), Husqvarna 64 push reel mower, Evolution Rage2 cut off saw, various workshop tools like grinders, broken Countax C600H, super major merry tiller, large twin wheel barrow etc etc the list goes on.

I'm between Leeds and York by the way

  • Hi stuart i would stick them on ebay as your selling to a large audiance and you will probably still get some good money back for them. Also include postage aswell dont limit yourself to the area you live in. Use( PARCELS2GO )  for sending the items you can choose what courier you want to send them with and they are pretty cheap and they will pick the items up from your house.
