yes where the lawns are curved or shaped on one side

i think curved stripes look better in certain landscapes, and can echo the surrounding landscapes

straight lines are very formal and logical, but can look a bit out of place in some settings

Obviously a square / rectangular lawn lends itself to logically being striped straight, but as always up to the customer. Some people need straight lines and might get a bit agitated with something different!

Only 1 with a curve as it fits the lawn shape.
I do quite a lot on lines that are not "straight"
I often try to make the stripes stand out from the house or road so diagonal or just offset lines work well in some gardens. Some are just straight up and down.
  • i do one on a kidney shaped lawn the rest are straight as the lawns are square or rectangular

  • yes i some times i stripe rings around the garden or around a centre feature not always circles, following flowing flower beds around the circumference of a lawn looks good

  • Yes we do but we dont get asked for it, we just do it as we feel like it and change it when we feel like it. One week single stripes, another week double stripes, another diagonals if it fits. It all depends on the shape of the lawn and quality of grass as to what looks good. No one has complained yet!! One lady has a cirlcular front lawn with a huge tree in the middle and that often gets diagonals or circles and theres another with an enormous sloped rear lawn which Im going to put a fan shape into. It brings some fun and creativity to the garden and customers seem either oblivious or really happy.

Also I enjoy playing with visual illusion ie making a non uniformly shaped lawn appear perfectly square by using a gradual fan shape so that the stripes appear straight from one side to another when the lawn is an odd shape. It can make the lawn look completely different and more upmarket in an artistic way.
