"A24 lane closures while grass cutting protects wildflower.: The grass cutting works have on this occasion been designed to protect butterflies, bees and wildflowers, and will also deal with litter picking at the same time.
There will be almost four weeks of temporary lane closures on the A24 through Mole Valley while grass cutting works take place.
Starting from Monday, Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) is cutting the highway verges along the A24 between Capel and the M25 at Leatherhead , but this time with the maintenance of natural wildlife habitats in mind.
Butterflies and bees are among the species that will benefit from the new grass cutting arrangements around sections of wildflower.
The "essential" work is due to take place until Thursday June 9 and was planned to be completed as quickly as possible, with the aim of keeping disruption to users of the dual carriageway to a minimum.
The majority of the scheduled work will take place in the daytime, but some night works will take place from June 6 to 9."

At least not directly anyway. It will mean parishes either using money from other things or only cutting thier private areas! Interesting time for a year me thinks. They tried this 15 years ago and it lasted until late July before they had to turn the tap back on!!
Think of all the pollen going round. Hayfever increasing.
