All,I'm firmly thinking of investing in a set of these, I've seen a few makes on the net, has anyone got any, difference in the makes, are the pro sets with extendable legs a good advantage.Would you go for a small 6-8ft , medium10-12ft or large 14-16 ft set! There expensive so want to get these details correct.Any tips, would be much appreciativeThank youAndrew

  • We use platform step ladders (Youngman class A) with one man cutting and one footing the base on all but the flattest of surfaces. There is one set of 6 treads in each van on a permanent basis and one set of 8 tread and one set of 10 tread at the yard to be taken if you need them.

It's a nightmare cutting a hedge with steps that are too big for the job so my advice is to buy all three !

Don't even think about buying cheap'o ladders. IIRC its a legal requirement to use class A in the workplace.
