from the look of this rose, it is an old fashioned Hybrid Tea rose, and there are some very good suppliers of them, - try Fryers roses, or Harkness roses.
but if you want to replace with a modern bush rose which are resistant to more diseases, try Brother Cadfael, which is similar colour .
I am pretty sure that is the floribunda rose 'Queen Elizabeth' - I have encountered this several times in my 'older generation' garden clients, very pretty.
Thanks Sarah - is the queen elizabeth a climber? this one is apparently... still a bit of a mystery but I've found some similiar climbing varieties... David Austin does Janet Climbing which is quite similiar as well.
Thanks Jenny too - the old one was actually dug up and destroyed by builders can you believe! Lots of new topsoil going in so new ones should be fine.
Thanks all.
