I have Camon C150. Does the job but slowly. The chute is too high to load materials easily (tired arms) and if the waste is wet everything has a tendancy to clog up. It drinks fuel as well due to the 13hp engine. The quality of the machine is however good and is not too difficult to replace flails and blades etc.

It is probably OK for domestic use but not commercial. It is cheaper for me to pay to dispose my green waste and then buy back the compost (soil improver).
  • I have a Globe Forester chipper/shredder with the 13hp engine. I picked it up from ebay earlier this year and it's served me well for the bigger jobs. I reckon a builders 'bulk bag' of prunings/softish green waste can be shredded in about 10 minutes with one person feeding the machine. The chipper chute will take any branch up to 4 inches although I tend to limit it to 3 inches. Because it is a shredder rather than just a chipper, the waste is subsequently easily composted. I've even managed to compost leylandii in about 8 months. The only downside is that the shreddings come out at the bottom so one has to then shovel them into another container.

2.4kw quiet shredder i bought 12  years ago from ryobi my mate bought an atco. Both worked well for 8 years my mate replaced the atco with a Bosch. I bought a petrol chipper. The bigger the motor the more torque and better performance. I was happy with my ryobi as it's a cog type that self feeds the waste upto 40 mm. I still use for terrace gardens where getting waste out through the house is sn issue. The new ones for safety have a box u have to slide in

Ryobi RSH3045U 3000W Silent Impact Shredder,
