I did my first season, after that, emailed them an electronic card and donated the costs saved to charity.
I discovered cards in general are really appreciated by customers .
Hospices and local charities etc sell their own range of christmas cards with all proceeds going to support their cause
That's great ill deffo be getting some then
Will get them from local charity then everyone's a winner l.
Great call..wish I thought of that.
I send personalised cards to the clients I deem as 'valuable' - enclose a business card inside as well - you never know whether their friends etc. may see them !
I send cards out each year, normally via our local area scout Xmas post delivery service which has been cancelled this year. It is not as expensive as the Royal Mail and supports the scout District who normally sort and deliver 50,000 cards around South Wiltshire, this year instead they are trying to fundraise via AVIVA community fund for a new campsite so suggesting those who would normally buy the stamps to go on their cards make a donation via the website instead. https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/camp-site-quest
I normally buy charity cards and some from one of my customers who makes cards and calendars through the year
Every year, this is now the 5th, in fact this year's has just arrived - I get the son's fiance to design it, she's a graphic designer - (here is the inside for this year), in exchange for a nice Christmas pressie, the printing cost me £50. It goes with a nice chatty 1.5 page letter to all the clients I've invoiced that year (apart from the few I never want to see again :) ). The letter gives me a chance to tell them about services I want to sell, things I want them to remember and tell them good news generally. It always delivers a few days extra work to fill those days when the grass isn't growing. In summary the best marketing spend of the year.
There great Adam
I'm thinking of getting into gritting, salt spreading
So a great opportunity to let them know this aswel.
exactly.... they are all sitting at home, bored by the TV, with our letters to read
I wouldn't bank on making much out of that these days with global warming............... I've still got 6 bags of salt I bought 3 years ago, still sitting in the garage:) Still. cards a good idea.............. makes the customer feel like a "friend" rather than just an "employer" so they'll never dispense with your services!!.
