Research from the "Centre for Entrepreneurs" has shed new light on the motivations and barriers for people starting their own business…

Perhaps the most startling figure to come from the research is that 82% of people who would like to start their own business never take their ideas further than the planning stage.

While a range of factors appear to play a role in business growth, such as gender, with the research concluding that men are eight per cent more likely to open a business than women.
