Who do you use for leaflet drops?

I am looking to get a company to deliver a few thousand leaflets and wanted to know if anyone had any good recommendations?
Royal mail is apparently the best but they charge a minimum of £500

The area I want covered is towns in North Kent.

Thanks
Ben

  • i know of more than one instance of royal mail not delivering - in one case they were caught bang to rignts.

a company i worked for started getting vouchers for autumn bulbs in early summer - they all came from one post code area and had obviously just been 'found' and delivered - 7 months late!

    how about these guys? http://www.distributionsquad.co.uk/

the only leafleting i ever did was on my own feet when i had spare days and was a bit quieter.

  • I only ever did leafletting myself when needed - depending on how long the driveways are, and how far apart the houses, anywhere from 400-1000 a day is possible.

  • When I started out as a self employed gardener, I also did my own leaflet drops though I don't know if your circumstances will mean you can do this. Delivering myself allowed me to target specific roads and areas that I wanted to work in, rather than a blanket approach of a wider area.

It also gave me the opportunity to talk to people as I was delivering, if I met anyone. One chat has resulted in a lot of repeat business. The leaflet campaign has given me 5% of all the customers I've worked for over 2 years, so quite pleased with the results. Also saved my self valuable funds, doing it myself!

  • Royal Mail postal drops are not as good / successful as they were a few years back and of course very expensive.

I have used Mark(with great results) from https://twitter.com/Berkybear He charges £59 per 1,000 marketing cards and will only deliver a max of three cards / leafets to any house / business not to mention highlighting your business on twitter for you.

Contact Mark and discuss your requirements / target areas etc. and he will be more plan pleased to help out.

If you need contact details, PM me.

  • Hi ben
You are near me, why don't you try www.vmhleaflets.co.uk
Heard a lot of good things about them so might be worth a try?
  • Thanks for your replies guys, will look into the various options.
I normally do it myself, and door knock at the same time to try and win business straight away.
I done a leaflet drop with my girlfriend yesterday but had a stinking hangover and managed 1 hour in the heat before heading back home!

  • Hi Ben.....have a chat with the newspaper that delivers the weekly paper in all the towns in North Kent. I was seeing a mate about 3 weeks ago who lives in Sittingbourne, and the local paper seemed to have rather alot of flyers inside it. Some were good , some not.
Alternatively find another local company like yourself where you could possibly share the cost of getting your leaflets into the weekly paper.
I found targetting estate agents is a good method too, home buyers never consider their gardens when they are property buying, and if you can arrange a chat with your agent, you might be able to come to an arrangement on a you scratch / i scratch your back offering.
