Stihl 86 is good as dedicated machine.
Makita 36v is also well up to the job but eats power.
Have you used one before?
I used to use its on the Stihl sh86, other than picking up dry box clippings, I think they are a waste of time.
They block constantly, so you have to keep on taking them apart to clean out wet leaves and mud. Wet leaves in the bag makes it heavy and soaks you. If you pick up a stone it can smash the plastic fan, so I always carry a spare because the first time it happened I had to wait 2months for a replacement it was the only blower I had, and it was autumn.
If I brought another hand held I'd buy husqvana, they got a better design where the air flow goes in a straight line rather than the bg86 flows to left causing to turn in the hand. There's a Welsh feller on YouTube that's done a excellent comparison video.
I did similar, cracking the housing with gravel, it's not an amazing tool but it has its place for occasional use.
I've the Stihl BG86 with the vacuum attachment. Handy for the odd leaves that you're sucking up from a paved area etc.......... try sucking a pile of leaves up, particularly large leaves like sycamore, and it takes ages so quicker to scoop them up with your hands and put them in a bin. Overall, not that impressive.
