2 hours for the bank that's taking the p. I let my team manage their time to some extent. They do struggle to start on time quite often but then they miss some of lunch or finish a bit late so I'm happy to let them be flexible but does require trust.
'New head Landscaper' suggests that you have just taken him on Rebecca. 'A smallish job of £8K' suggests you have access to and completed some nice, more lucrative jobs, so you must have a number of other employees. If so, then there should be some parameters set out that they/he and you understand. Two hours "to go to the bank" is way out of line........where was he working for goodness sake?
I think you probably know the answer - move on.
