What's the compaction rate of self binding gravel ?

Does anyone know the typical compaction rate of self-binding gravel ?

 

ie if I need to end up with a compacted surface depth of 40-50mm, then what is the applied height so that compaction ends up at that depth?

 

Also any idea of weight in Tonnes to M2, ie 1T will cover 'x'M2 when laid at 'y'mm deep ?

 

I need to calculate how much to order to cover a path ~ 90m2

 

HELP!

    Thanks so much Gary. That's a good starting place for me. I've not done much with self binding gravel and was struggling to know what the overhead should be.

     

    Finally had to bite the bullet and get some quotes done today as it raining here.
