What's kind of conversion rate (contact) do you get from visitors to your website?

I've been getting a lot more visitors to my website recently and I've been keeping track of things using Google Analytics.

I have had a couple of enquiries via my site recently but I'm worried that maybe my site is not compelling enough to encourage people to make contact. What kind of rate of contact do you get from visitors to your site? Perhaps if my rate is a bit low I should think about doing some work on the site.

    The general stats where (from memory) between 1-3% conversion rate.
