What mower combination

Hi All

My two mowers are coming up for replacing soon and i was wondering what size mowers you guys were carrying. At the moment I have a 18in push and a 18in self propelled with rear roller.i work alone on small to medium sized lawns so was thinking of getting a replacement 18in push but was considering a 21in self prop rear roller. What are you using?

    Hi David, what size lawns do you class as small-medium mate?
    • Hi Harry

      Small = 6m2
      Medium = Tennis court

        Ok, personally I wouldn't bother with the 21" those size of lawns, you will just get annoyed with the weight and lenght of the mower, stick to the 48 for the roller, and 46 for the wheeled, people love the Hondas, but they are poor in the wet, Vikings are brilliant, but some have issues with drive systems, Weibang are up and coming but heavy for a 48cm (19") roller, I will not buy any mower that isn't built to run with a high lift blade, hope this helps a little...

    I'd go 18inch push Honda izy
    And 21 kaaz (or clone) roller

    I use a Kaaz roller 21" and an Etesia Pro 46 push.

    Upgraded a hyater 48 to the Kaaz this year & as Harry has already said its a little heavy for some of the smaller lawns. Though it eats up the bigger stuff. Etesia gets used on the smaller lawns now and the wet!

  • we run kaaz 21 inch rollers now for 8 years if you keep the grass bags clean they handle wet grass well we are trying one of the weibang roller mowers it looks well made seems to work well have to see how it stands up to hard work

      Hopefully you will give the weibang good reviews....!!
      What model are you using ??
      • we had the 21 inch wheel machine for a few days we now got a 560 roller pro it seems a good machine abit on the heavy side  i keep you informed as to how it goes

  • 17" Bosch 43li cordless (latest model with syneon chip) for smaller lawns. 21" Bosch GRA53 professional cordless for larger areas. Not used any of my petrol mowers this season, with the exception of the ride-on.

  • Anyone using the Honda HRG 536 VK?
