Morning Phil,
Yes I have an irrigation system with all brass connections it is the hand held lance that I have the problems with they just don't last, Once dropped they are redundant I just wondered if there is something out their the pro's use on a daily basis that would work for me.
Thanks Trev

Sorry....I misread your question initially.
I've seen metal watering lances in garden centres...similar to ones used on a commercial nursery.
Do you have any nurseries nearby to where you live?

Only the run of the mill types Phil, no specialist nurseries.

Have had to replace contractor's spray guns after dropping them, so now try to handle with kid gloves. There does appear to be an inherent weakness with the mechanism, even the metal ones are not too robust.
a tried and tested adjustable spray, we use them every day for adding water into the mixer
Hozelock hose nozzle adjustable spray
like you Trevor over the years I have purchased many different spray heads and always top end price too thinking it will last longer because you pay more for it and they still break, now all our hose pipes have the Hozelock adjustable spray end for less than £4
I bought a metal gun from Wilkinson about 3 month ago that seems to be holding up to daily usage but do have the one mick has suggested as a backup in the van
