Does anytype of fencing with no big holes stop rabbits ? or will they chew it?

My understanding is, rabbits will dig under a vertical barrier but, if you go down 50mm and then out another 100 or 200mm they get bored with trying to dig under the wire. It needs to be chicken wire or similar and doubled over for strength.
I think Roy's idea is best as they do taste nice.
Moles are just bad and fences wont stop them.
