Worked till 1pm today, likely do the same tomorrow. Clients understand and theres no point detroying yourself in this heat!

  • Worked 8am-12pm. Then at my desk doing paper work with a fan and iced coffee. Doing the same tomorrow.

  • Worked until 4, but very steadily indeed, no point in killing yourself. Then got asked by a customer if I was coming to put in his new concrete fence posts this afternoon......!

  • sharpend a few tools first thing and waterd the pots and greenhouse had to do a seccond watering tonight in the greenhouse as things were starting to wilt at one point it got to 44c in there with the door and vents open

the air temp got warm even in the shade

  • Carried on like normal but wore a hat and kept well watered , finished slightly earlier due to some lawns starting to dry out which is rare here only ever seen a lawn dry out in 2018 .

Put a bottle or 2 of juice/ water in the freezer overnight , stays nice and cold all day very refreshing .

  • Finished at 11.30, chap I had with me thought it had started to rain at one point. It was his own sweat!!

I'd already had a light headed moment so I said enough is enough, this is madness, we're off home!

  • Hedge cutting but packed up at 3. Kept sticking my head under the outside tap every so often, seemed to cope ok yesterday, hotter today though so only doing a few steady jobs.

We finished at 2pm yesterday and today and I stocked up the yard freezer with ice creams for the guys :)

  • Worked 7.45 to 1.30. By this afternoon there was no shade and the air felt like when you get off a plane on a Spanish runway. I'm a work whenever you can type of guy but  common sense told me today could do someone harm if they are not careful.
