do you have a hub where you meet at or garage/ lock up in the morning and drop them off?
id leave them there on hooks /shelf at the end of the day or yes say its up to them ! ( they are old enough to work & are not children) - take some responsibility then if they are clean and dry they benefit from there own initiative.
i couldnt be sorting clothes out for 3 people , but i only have gloves for a casual worker usually & lend an odd jacket or waterproof trousers.
I pick the guys up from the station and drop them off there at the end of the day. I don't have space for shelving to keep clothing on, perhaps if I left them wet in the van over the weekend they might take the initiative the following evening!
Simon, maybe a bit different as we have a Unit, but we have one of those stacking 4 drawer plastic units (cheap from B&Q or somewhere).
We use several different types of gloves (bought cheaply in bulk so there are always dry, so clean gloves available) which are placed in the drawers ready for the guys to grab them.
Wet of dirty gloves on return are stuffed in a couple of Washing Nets and regularly one of the guys takes home and washes/drys them in the Net (and yes.....he does get paid for that ;-).
Then no excuses ...Nothing worse than wet gloves (apart from boots !)
