Weibang mowers

Weibang mowers,

Just wanted to share my experieces with these machines.

After many years of using Honda mowers and few years ago I moved to Toro mowers with kawasaki engines. For all this time (15yrs) I never had a single mower problem.

Late 2017 I decided to replace two mowers and after reading revues on line and speaking to the local Weibang dealer I opted for two of their machines,

Weibang virtue 53 pro bbc with kawasaki fj180 engine

Weibang 53sm pro mulch mower.

I love the Kawasaki engine, have had it on toros , and its fully pressure fed with extenal oil filter. Proper engine unlike other splash lubricated ones!

The Mulch mower.

EXTREMELY well built and designed and a joy to use, I only have two minor gripes...

Not fitted with a blade brake so when you let go of the hand lever the engine cuts out (yes i know there is a simple fix)

On the lowest setting the mower body touches the ground and the next setting up is a bit too high, I will be fitting a spacer behind the blade to cure this.

Other than this a tully great machine, recommend.

The collecter mower

Again well thought out and extremely high build quality, a joy to use but...

First time out at the end of last season and a major vibration occured , in drive and cutting, and I had to return it for inspection. New parts fitted and mower was collected.

First cut this season and the clutch burnt out with the mower standing on tickover for 10mins!!!

Mower returned to dealer and now has new parts fitted.

Now from my point of view 50% of my weibangs are great and 50% have broken down 100% of the time.

I know we all get a lemon some times but this experience has left a sour taste.

We will see how they fare this season but....
