There's two newish 19" professional ones for sale on our FB Marketplace, from the same guy (in Salisbury)
I had a Legacy pro 53 roller. Found it too heavy for what I needed. Would be a great mower if you were doing very large lawns every day and not taking it in and out of a van all the time. Wouldn't recommend for anything else
A friend has the legacy pro roller and a 4 wheeled mower, both are too heavy for my liking particularly taking in and out of a van all the time. He also folds the handles down for transport and i know this causes extra problems with the cables etc. Like above would be great if you were based on one property with large lawns. I have heard some switched from the weibang rollers last summer for the stihl roller to see what they were like
Yea I didn't want a heacy one as my Honda is 60kg . There small 48 /50 spv look lighter but maybe too basic for the price?
It belongs to a customer but I use a legacy 56v, the non pro model. Love it.
Smooth, quite quick, fantastic collection. It replaced a Honda hrd and doesn't really feel any heavier, I don't know what the actual weights are, but a lot nicer to use.
It seems very well built, if its just you using it I don't see any issues with getting it in and out of a van using a ramp. Wouldn't be keen on regularly folding the handles though. My mower is a lawnflite pro 448 (19") which fits nicely in the side door of my Renault traffic, this weibang is a bit longer and won't fit in the side which is a shame. When I replace the lawnflite it will be with the Legacy 56V.
I had a 48 pro with BBC, sold it a little while ago, to be fair to it nothing broke the two years I owned it, was a touch heavy but that only makes a difference if your not working with ramps and are lifting in and out of van.
I personally wouldn't go for another Weibang pro 48 with BBC for the simple fact that you can't get a high lift blade for the BBC model (or you couldn't 2 years ago), you can get a high lift blade for the non BBC model, so I'd go for that one if I bought again.
good luck with your choice, Harry
I have, for 3 summers now. Both the pro 48s.The non bbc is tremendous in the wet. Beautiful finish in any weather. The BBC model is good, but not quite as good in the wet. They get a real hammering over the year but start first go everytime.
I've changed a few cables and had a £95 bearing replaced on the one. That's all.
They are heavy but I use a plank so it's no issue at all. Regarding folding the handles, I don't do it because whichever mower you use it will eventually be a problem. Cheers, Tony
