An interesting development, but the 'information' battle regarding Glyphosate continues........

"A scientist who advised a United Nations agency to classify the world’s most widely used weedkiller as carcinogenic received $160,000 (£121,500) from law firms bringing claims by cancer victims against the manufacturer.

Christopher Portier advised the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), part of the World Health Organisation, which concluded in March 2015 that glyphosate was a “probable human carcinogen”.

A client of mine is high up in agrii uk (as in the company selling chemicals)
I’ve spoken to him a couple of times on the glyphosate thing and word coming from Monsanto is that a ban is not on the cards yet as the goverments/agencies know something is needed and nothing is coming online that is as good/safer if that makes sense.

Further news...... where does the truth lie ?

“In glyphosate review, WHO edited out “non-carcinogenic” findings ?

When the International Agency for Research on Cancer assessed the best-selling weedkiller glyphosate, significant changes were made between a draft of its report and the published version. The agency won't say who made the changes or why.... “

Good article. Just wanted to commend the re-dressing of balance into the argument about glyphosate that was portrayed as GOOD vs BAD in some quarters

Keeping an open mind, maybe issues like loss of habitation / farming techniques, change of planting schemes, pollution, climate and so on .....

To pin an issue on 1 specific cause suggests we do not understand the world we live in well enough

Varroa mite and sudden colony collapse are all part of it. So too the wide sale of hybridised flowering plants which are high on smell but low on nectar.....

There's a greater concern for nicotine based insecticides and their affects of bees.

The jury appears to be out on whether glyphosate kills bees.

Strongest evidence yet that neonicotinoids are killing bees
Studies in Europe and Canada show that controversial neonicotinoid insecticides have adverse effects on reproduction of honeybees and wild bees
