I had the full YELL rip off experience - including getting to the stage of threatening lawyers. Finally got out of the last contract a little over a year ago. Last winter I re-made my own website. My new website design and production - and I am no expert- took less than a month to produce better results than nearly 3 years combined of yell, and that is without any PPC advertising etc. I am sorry I cannot recommend anybody to help you as my solution was to do it myself and retain complete control. Is it perfect? No. Is it good enough. Yes. absolutely. I am also slowly learning how to target things and how to improve, so its getting better and better.
Be aware YELL appear to sell contact details of people who have left them, so you might find that you get a lot of phone calls in the next few months offering you web design services........
My advice to you if you dont want to have a go yourself is to find somebody local, who you can visit regularly and build a good relationship with.
I have also made it my mission in life to tell anybody who will listen how poor my experience with yell was. So thank you for the stage and feel free to duet.
Jason @ So Graphics offers an excellent end to end service and also deals with hosting, emails and tech support. I couldn't recommend him more highly.
