Waterproof warm gloves

Anyone recommend a flexible insulated fully waterproof glove? We've been buying ejendals tegera which are supposed to be both of above and are not cheap at £25 pair , they don't keep hands warm at even modest low temperatures despite being rated to something like minus 20 and seem to absorb water rather than repelling it , or are we asking too much?

We used https://www.amazon.co.uk/ROSTAING-Winter-Waterproof-Comfort-Resista... these... They keep you dry and warm... but are v thick.... so if there is any detail work to be done we use our ordinary glaoves and change every hour or so for dry ones

I never been able to find a truly water proof glove, they just get soaked.

My winter glove preference is the showa 451. If i want water proof I wear disposable rubber gloves underneath.

  • Whatever gloves I wear, when it's properly cold I put on a pair of disposable first aid nitrile gloves on underneath them. They are waterproof and thin enough to fit any glove. Downside is that they don't allow moisture to escape which means that thorns easily puncture your skin.

I have a suggestion for you. Go to glovespecialists.co.uk or follow this link - https://glovespecialists.co.uk/products/waterproof-gardening-gloves. i can thoroughly recommend these gloves to keep your hands dry, and they're pretty good in the cold as well. And you have no loss of flexibility. They are my go to pair when the plants are soggy, and they're long-lasting as well. While others have failed, these carry on. And they're not even expensive!

    • Thanks Amanda  yes bought these off the Internet but at £5.99 not £12.99 as on glove specialist website. Yes hands dry but no warmth in cold temperatures.

I see what you mean about the price of those waterproof gloves I have Peter. I found them on Ace Safetywear for about £4. I also found these liner gloves in the link advertised as a dexterous thermal layer to wear under other gloves. No idea if these do what they promise, but £3.32 for a box of 10 they could be worth a go. Postage is just under £5 though if you spend less than £75 (ex VAT). I am going to try the Wondergrip thermal gloves.
