Waterlogging

Anyone have any experience with new builds, waterlogging and nhbc? Should house builder be adding drainage if this is happening after prolonged rain??

    This is from NHBC standards  

    9.2 - D5
    Garden areas within 3m of the habitable part of the home shall not be waterlogged
     

    Waterlogging of garden areas within 3m of the habitable part of the home should be prevented by drainage or other suitable means.

      Thanks - I know the standards but just not the in depth... should this happen at all or should I be requesting they improve the drainage; which I have incidentally been told by site manager is adequate!

    all the top water goes into soak aways now, they might not have connected up a pipe or the water off the path runs there it shuld not happen even with a lot of rain i think the calculations are worked out persuming 2 ins of rain per hour

    It is pretty nasty out there and every garden I go to at the moment is waterlogged somewhere!
