Water and a new Lawn

Are you aware of the amount of water needed for new turf to survive and grow in these hot conditions? is 6 litres of water per sq metre.
Do you know when you should apply water ? You can water turf in full sunlight only once it has been laid after that initial watering water should be applied in the morning or evening when the sun has gone off
