Waste transfer notes to customers?

Happy new year everyone and all the best for 2017!Do you give your customer a waste transfer note when you remove waste from their garden?Example:You remove an old fence and take it to the local recycling centre.You give the customer a WTN and when you get to the recycling centre they give you a WTN is that correct?
