When I print an invoice I have the option of printing a WTN as well (but with a different layout to the invoice, obviously).
I do wonder how may people actually bother to issue WTN's though? I have had many handed back by a customer who can't see the point in them!
I dont issue WTN's to the client as most of the time there not in anyway, but to be honest most people arent aware of the rules/regulations regarding trade waste and in my experience generally have no interest either, so i dont bother.
I do however need to produce one at the tip, and when i remember, keep a copy as well, you get a reciept from the tip anyway, so there is a paper trail. I have noticed that even though on my WTN's i use the code for green waste, that on the reciept it always just shows the code for general waste!
Nick,
How are you doing that in Sage - are you (ab)using a special function or does Sage have some means of generating documents?
We use QB and would love to do that - but not sure if I technically can or just missing the logic of how to do !?!
We do a reasonable amount of commercial waste removal so do need an audit trail (not least of which to use to get paid ;-)

It is to do with using certain product codes and generating a template from which to print from which has the necessary WTN info.
This means that when I type a waste product code on an invoice it can be printed off - then I can print it using a different template and a WTN is generated but without fees from the invoice etc.
Clever stuff eh?
