You are right there will be a charge but local civic amenity site will probably not take it as classed as trade waste, there will probably be a commercial tip which will take it , up my way they charge by weight with a minimum of £15 plus vat per visit.
Best bet if you are doing residential is to use customers green waste bin if they have one , no cost to you and they are paying for the service through there council tax.
You will have to register as lower tier waste carrier if you are going to remove green waste.
Good news is that lower-teir registration is now free, so worth doing as many tips require your certificate before you can use them. As a one-man business it's not worth me going regularly as I don't create enough waste to make the minimum charge weight. I have a trailer at home, where each day's cuttings go. Then it's a decent load once it's full, and worth the trip.
