Ebay shows the original listing being ended at 8.40am this morning "due to an error in the listing "
Wonder what that could be eh!
Maybe they saw this thread. The kid who bought the mower was accompanied by his uncle who was an Arborist, so perhaps he's a member. To be fair, there is a slim chance that the hour clock picture was from another machine they were selling [but he was selling only one Stiga that had an hour clock] and was loaded for this machine in error - perhaps. Although the 115 figure was highlighted in the description. The original hour clock was in perfect working order, so physically swapping it for another one could only be for one reason. I will watch to see what happens. As I said, it could, at a stretch, be an honest mistake.
It has been relisted

Yes that's the one. They have cut down the picture that shows the serial number, although not quite enough. These are my photos I used when I originally had the engine on ebay, showing serial number and original hour metre.

its a diffrant hour meter that has been put on, but it seems to have cleaned up well
In a situation like this it is best to buy a second hand one from a reputable dealer with some warranty rather than buy it off eBay in my view. I once bought a Stihl hedgecutter with a shot Carb. To replace the Carb was £150 plus labour...
Well you were robbed then....
I never got it repaired as it was cheaper to buy a new hedge cutter which is still going strong today.
£150 to supply a carb? Genuine carbs are around £90
Yes it was an older Stihl hedge cutter model that was obsolete and replaced by the current models. Cannot recall what model it was now.
