  • On the topic of reading hopefully not the same old dribble

Have you finished your book yet ?

  • Last chapters this week.....ghost writer to put into English...

    Bookputtertogether?? then gets going....

All down to him really, along with pictures.

Pictures is probably biggest headache as most pictures have either been too small or poor quality.

Maybe I should ask to see who may have some pictures, which may be able to go into finished book?

Thanks David, I've heard from my guys it was absolutely fantastic one-day course. I suspect (hope..) it will spur them on...:-)

Please keep us posted on future courses ?

  • I have a plan for an industry related training program over 2 or 3 days, where we comprehensively cover as much as possible.....

I believe that anyone...anyone at all can undertake this and get an accreditation or something???

    More will follow

I reckon quite a few will jump at that oppurtunity, David :-)
  • I believe its needed.....am in the process of starting it as we speak and trying to get some involvement with certain people.

It can cover all aspects and tie and industry up thats lacking in any branch or movement?

  • David,

I have had a very good read of your personal website and i'm most impressed. I'm look to get a lot more in depth knowledge with regard to lawns, and not just cut them as i do at present. I'd love to be able to offer chemical treatments, however my knowledge is far from being able to offer this type of service.

A 2-3 days course would be right up my street, even the 1 day course you offer at present. Please keep this thread upto date with the release date of your book, I only have the Lawn Expert which as good as it is, its old and dated and not as comprehensive as i'd like it to be.

Their are a few local colleges ( Writtle in Chelmsford and Capel Manor - Enfield A10) who do a similar 1 days lawn courses, however your knowledge and expertise I may indeed drive the extra 100 or so miles to attend a course run by yourself.

    Kind regards

    Andrew Palmer

  • Hi Andrew,

I will be doing something....colleges TBH, are just outing the same old dribble too!
There is not enough distinction between modern domestic lawn care (no matter how good) and sportsturf (which all of the colleges learn from)

I am looking to get a few companies involved and we may one day take across the UK?
