ls engineers are excellent.............. https://www.lsengineers.co.uk/viking-lawn-mower-spares.html ; Don't know specifically about the Viking revs............... it's usually a question of increasing the tension on the governor spring
I think it will depend on the engine. On mine with the B&S there is a metal bracket just under the plastic at the front where the govener spring connects. You can bend it slightly to up the revs. It's a bit of a hack but it works.
Its worth mentioning that you really don't want to increase the revs beyond the recommended maximum though I'm sire a few extra hundred won't blow the thing up. You can pick up these cheap rev counters on Ebay for under a tenner and you just wrap a wire round the ht lead https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-Tiny-Tach-Digital-Hour-Meter-Tachomet...
Agree with Graham and engine handbook should show power graph for reference and max rpm.
We use those tacho’s - they’re great and very inexpensive yet tell you so much when in use.
Thanks lads, i have the Tach, its more a question of how to increase the revs without bending things, the revs on the Toros for instance can be altered with an adjustment screw which doesn't seem to do anything on the Viking.
