Hi got quite a few Vikings and find the steel decks best option the polymer deck gets clogged up quick with wet grass compared to the steel ones. The 448 as got pretty much entry level engine for that price there's mountfields with Honda blocks on plus variable speed recently been after a four wheeler too the snapper nx80 looks a decent speck for the money £410 fr jones with variable and high end briggs 750 dov block which they put on The Viking mb 655 with quite a high price tag.
I run 2 , decent light weight machine, easy to maintain, spares good availability, it definetly won't rust, picks up OK in the wet. Should get 2 years use out of it. For the money good buy in my opinion.
