    The crankshaft may have bent when original boss broke. If you remove plug, turn machine over and get someone to pull recoil gently you will see if crank is bent. It will obviously wobble as it rotates. If unsure lay a ruler across deck at side of crank and it will either rotate freely or move against the ruler as you pull.

    This is most likely scenario and if bent will need a new crankshaft.
