Morning everyone.
Just wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction, i'm after a street map of my area (WF14 8) which ideally will size up to about 1.5metre square (I know where I can get it printed)
I went to a Merchants yesterday and they had one on the wall which was fantastic and helped with there "efficiency" for deliveries, unfortunately they had no idea where it was from, although it was all 1 piece.
I bought a Tom Tom last year and its been invaluable, saving me at least 20-30 minutes a day! (I thought I knew my road network!). With the addition of a physical map on my wall, its easier FOR ME to sort the gardening rounds, i know i can do it all on the iphone etc but i want a physical map!.
Combing it together on google maps will take forever and its only "low resolution", I want my office slap bang in the middle of the map with a 7 mile radius around it, with all the roads etc
The closest Ive got so far to achieving this is photocopying my age old street map book with some scissors and celotape!, in 2012 im sure there's another way, but im yet to find it!.
The file needs to be hi resolution (to be able to print it sharply)
Links/ideas etc would be greatly received!
Any if its not too early Merry Xmas!

Go find your local Ordnance Survey outlet - they will produce any map on their files up to A0 often while you wait. It is not cheap, especially if colour involved

You are looking for an outlet that can print them locally and just not stock their maps. We have a Post code A0 Map on our wall for the South East of England and have used them to site maps/plans.
By the way, you can do similar online with google maps and generate your own private or public map for access via smartphone/tablet.
Superb cheers Gary, would you believe I have a client next door to one of the outlets lol!
