I think they are all £320 now , it's actually some older Euro4/Euro5 models which have the cheaper road tax
We've just paid £320 also on a 21 plate Euro 6 Fiat Ducato
You would probably be looking at a petrol vehicle and trailer but you would have to decide if it's really worth it to make a small saving on road tax .
Say a 1.6 petrol vehicle capable of pulling a trailer in the region of £200 per year but increased fuel consumption may be counterproductive .
Personally over the years have gone from big van ,small van , estate car and now hatchback but my equipment needs are minimal I don't need lots of gear for what I now do .
just by chance ,i found paperwork for an old estate car. the tax then in 2019 was £145. My god the govt must be swimming in money from road tax 2023
out of interest, wot did u pay last year?
My Renault trafic 2013 swb was £320 this year. I had a vauxhall combo before. I'd never go back to a smaller van now.
thanks guys. i have read up on this subject. turns out all vans pay 320, across the board. And pickups to, with the odd exception. Looks like im keeping the van
even electric vans, currently exempt, are due to be charged road tax from 2025 apparently
i remember hearing that the electric cars are getting slammed also. im trying super hard not to make any polictico comment. no sense at Westminster. i failed
Hi, pretty sure vans are all charged the same rate regardless of emissions. Crazy really as folk like yourself that would change to a lower emission van don't bother as they pay the same road tax anyway. There are a few strange anomalies where some pick up trucks from certain years fall into a £140 bracket.
