  • Used a silky pocket boy an amazing bit if kit and really fast and easy to use. The only down side is being a pull saw it tends to cut on the pull stroke and the blades are liable to break easily, I have been through a few!! But still a great saw in general

  • The best there is, if you ask me...

Ive used the pocket boy which does a great job and leaves the cut smooth and clean and its quite efficiant but there is a lot of flex in the blade and it does not feel stong say compared to a Bacho Laplander and its also twice the price of the laplander.

I use a Silky gomtaro pruning saw and also have a 6metre Hayauchi extending pole saw
Both great saws and would buy them again.

  • I bought the same two as Jonathon plus a Zubat about six weeks ago for my first large pruning job. Had a read around the UK arb forums and they are the most popular.

Abolutely amazing saws, make such light work of small and larger limbs. The cut finish......some of them looked almost polished.

I wondered if the 6m polesaw would be too much, no chance and for pruning work the cut is far superior to powered polesaws, great for tidy limb pruning.

Would replace with the same again.
