If this was last week during the extreme heat you may find its as simple as hot fuel expanding in the tank and air locking/ pressurising the tank. Was a cold machine ok in morning? I had this on 2 machines last week. The blower worse fuel was literally exploding out the tank when I tried to open the cap. All ok this week since it’s cooled down.
You could try an octane boost addative see if that helps, i would be having a word with the fuel station too.
Check your receipts ! A few years ago, I was rushing to get some 2 stroke mix made up - ( always use Stihl one shots to get the mix spot on ) - filled my kombi and blower - went on to site, tried to start them and had a real game - masses of smoke, very uneven running. Managed to get one reasonable size hedge trimmed with difficulty then retreated home to investigate. Couldn't think of anything amiss, then had a brainwave - dug out the receipt, and yep, I'd only gone and filled my 5 litre can with DIESEL not petrol. Drained machines, new PROPER fuel, and all's well with the world. Felt a right pl***er, but still makes me laugh !!!
