Turfing in a heatwave

A friend of mine has just bought a new house!  Unbeliveably the builders (its a new build) have just finished laying turf in the garden.  Surely we must just be days a way from an outright hosepipe ban!  Anybody else seen an turf layed this week?

Yes quite a bit, I mentioned on another thread that I’d turned one down! I don’t think we are quite at hosepipe ban yet ( not here anyway) if you look at the environment agency website you can find water storage in your area is at percentages wise in the reservoirs and aquifers.

still a bad idea but what else is the builder supposed to do? Leave it as “soil” so you get to see all the bricks and rubble left behind......
