Turf preparation and a rain delay

Good afternoon all

Im after some advice I am turfing a whole garden, i have followed the advice i have found on here, i have removed the top layer of turf, forked and rotivated the soil down to a depth just over 100mm.

Compacted (heel and toe / RHS shuffle) and levelled, it was all going so well....But have been hit by multiple heavy thunerstorms and  the ground, although draining feels a bit too wet to work with,

With more storms coming all week, im after advcie on would you redo the prep as the rain will have compacted the ground or just a good raking of the top layer to restore the tilth?

It may seem like a daft question but i can't find the answer anywhere and i want to give the truf the best possible chance

Your help would be gretaly appreacited

Thank you

      Thank you

  • If the ground isn't as easy to rake level as you would like some sharp sand will help.
